Support Library Tips
Our Resource Centre contains a range of resources for setting up and developing your enterprise. Documents may include templates for you to complete, links to useful web sites and information and material we have compiled based on specific questions we get asked here at Firstport.
Click on each topic to open up a list of sub-topics, and then on each sub-topic until you find the information and links covering the particular subject you are interested in. If you are unable to find what you are looking for the do contact us - we will help you search through materials or can point you in the right direction.
Within each topic area you will find:
- Information - further reading on a topic area
- Templates - sample documents with headings for you to follow and complete
- Checklists - sample 'to do' lists, questions and prompts
Each item in the Support Library has been labelled according to the level of detail provided and possible previous knowledge.
- First pointers - never more than one A4 sheet of simple introductions to topics
- Basic - simple guides with a bit more detail/more specific
- Intermediate - for those with experience in business and/or social enterprise and not scared by terminology!
- Advanced- for those with an experience business or social enterprise background
Some documents and links will appear in more than one section and some information may be found in overview areas not in relation to specific topics.
E.g. public liability insurance has it's own section but information on public liability insurance can also be found in insurance overview
E.g. there are a variety of documents on legal set up that are in both the getting started and legal topic areas.
