Meet Our Speakers:

  • Annie Tunnicliffe – Investment Manager With over 20 years in the third sector, Annie specializes in assessing repayable finance applications, including for The Catalyst Fund. Her extensive experience includes charity and social enterprise management, as well as supporting organizations in accessing grants and loans for major projects. Annie is a qualified accounting technician (AAT).
  • Daisy Ford-Downes – Head of Group Investment Programmes Leading the Investment Team at Firstport Group, Daisy oversees repayable funding and investment readiness programs. Her diverse background includes roles at Deloitte, Scottish Enterprise Growth Investments, and Foundation Scotland. Daisy holds a Masters in Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship, and is both a Chartered Accountant and Responsible Finance Clore Fellow. She’s passionate about innovative finance and its potential to nurture early-stage businesses.
  • Emily Macdonald – Investment Readiness Programme Manager Emily manages the LaunchMe investment readiness programme for Firstport Group. Her career spans finance and risk management roles at prestigious institutions like Dresdner Kleinwort Bank, Investec, and Gatehouse. Emily’s expertise as a credit risk analyst uniquely positions her to advise on investor preferences and effective information presentation for potential investments.
