Firstport reaccredited as Investor in Diversity until 2025
We are proud to announce that we have been awarded Investors in Diversity for Small Charities accreditation for another two years.
After careful assessment by the National Centre for Diversity, the results show that Diversity and Inclusion continue to be of utmost importance to our values as an organisation.
At Firstport, we committed to putting Diversity and Inclusion at the centre of our work, and the results of the assessment show that we continue to strive for good practice in this area.
The National Centre for Diversity’s Small Charities Award is a framework designed to help charities to review their current Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement (FREDIE) practices and to help plan further development.
The thorough assessment process included:
- an online diagnostic survey sent to Firstport staff and external organisations to ensure impartiality
- results being mapped out against the Investors in Diversity Standards
- a verified report
- finally, a decision on whether an organisation has achieved the accreditation is determined
Heena Mistry, the assessor for Firstport’s report said:
“The survey results are very good and demonstrate Firstport’s continued commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion. I am recommending that Firstport be recognised as being reaccredited against the Investors in Diversity for Small Charities Standard and would like to congratulate it on this achievement.”
Heena Mistry, National Centre for Diversity
