LaunchMe Investment Readiness Programme – Applications for Spring 2025 now open!
Do you have an idea about how to create a positive change in your community? Could your idea become a social enterprise? In this blog series, we will talk about the most important things to think about if you want to start a social enterprise.
LaunchMe provides bespoke support to social enterprises and community organisations with ambition to secure investment and grow. LaunchMe combines high quality learning resources, live sessions with sector experts and tailored 1-1 support to ensure that you receive the support you need to get your business ready to approach investors. You will meet like-minded people to share experiences with and who can support you long after the programme has finished.
The programme includes:
- Workshops on key investment readiness topics delivered online by Firstport specialists or expert partners, including Introduction to Social Investment, Making Friends with Finance, Practical Governance, Storytelling/Pitching, Social Impact Measurement, Leadership and Business Planning, Meet the Investors
- Informal peer sessions with like-minded organisations to build a support network and share experiences
- 1:1 scheduled and on-demand support from a Firstport relationship manager
- 1:1 bespoke support from Firstport specialists or external expert partners to address specific needs
You will use our innovative learning management system to access learning resources, with resources in mixed formats e.g. videos, podcasts, templates, quizzes and workbooks. This enables you to access knowledge and additional resources most relevant to you at a time and in a place that suits you. Every workshop you attend and every activity you complete will result in a tangible output to use in your organisation or to present to investors. We will help you to improve your business plan and your pitch and to connect with the right investors for the projects you are working on.
